Industrial Our specialists handle over 80 industrial sites across the UK at any one time with a total rent roll of over £26m. Properties range from large single let industrial buildings at around 5,000 sq ft, to large multi-tenanted industrial estates of 100,000 sq ft - right across the UK.
Office We handle around 3.5 million sq ft of space at any one time, with a total rent roll of over £35m. Our office unit sizes range from around 3,000 to 250,000 sq ft in more than 100 different properties throughout the UK.
Retail Our retail property management specialists handle over 900 retail properties in the UK, with a total rent roll of over £100m, ranging from substantial high street parades to portfolios of standalone retail units - across the UK.
Shopping Centres Our shopping centre management specialists handle around 1.5 million sq ft of space at any one time, with a total rent roll of over £18m. Our properties under management are mostly substantial town centre shopping malls - but we also have a dedicated team that specialise in the management of out of town shopping centres - all over the UK.

Our highly experienced property valuation team has a reputation for senior involvement, efficiency, speed and realistic valuations, as well as the highest levels of honesty, integrity and professional behaviour, which has brought us many long-standing clients.
The team, all RICS-registered, provides independent and objective valuations for most property classes nationwide – mainstream commercial (including retail, offices, and industrial), development land, as well as residential (single assets and portfolios).
Our valuation skills are complemented by in-house market expertise from our agency activities. We work closely with the property management team, whose nationwide coverage gives us extensive local knowledge and a real understanding of how location affects value.
We have particular experience in development site valuations and are on the panel of approved valuers for many specialist residential development funders.

Lee Baron specialises in mixed-use schemes bringing together our commercial and residential surveying expertise, with the experience and knowledge of our specialist mixed-use accounting team – particularly in dealing with the different approaches to VAT for residential and commercial properties. We genuinely understand the challenges of both.
We understand the contrasting occupational requirements of residents for whom the area is home, and of shops, restaurants and enterprises, for which the area means business. We also understand the statutory obligations of landlords and occupiers for both residential and commercial property. Our client accountants are committed to providing timely, accurate reporting. We combine accounting knowledge with software skills so we can offer an exceptional reporting service. We supply a wide range of reports, from simple income and expenditure and VAT reports to full financial accounting. We are well versed in reporting directly to lenders and complying with loan and Duty of Care agreements on behalf of clients.
We provide various software solutions – we post transactions directly to clients’ own web-based software and provide data uploads from our internal software that integrates with clients own reporting platforms, if required.
This means that clients have all the information about their properties at their fingertips, at all times.

We ensure that funds received from tenants are efficiently allocated so that clients promptly receive their rental income. Service charge, rent deposit, and client funds are segregated as per RICS regulations and all bank accounts are regularly reconciled.

We ensure ease of collection by emailing invoices and backup to over 90% of our tenants. All demands are sent 3 weeks ahead of the due date. Our credit controllers will contact tenants before charges are due to pre-empt any problems. Our staff are well versed in the relevant legislation and will provide advice on recovery strategy where needed.
Lee Baron is the first Chartered Surveyors to achieve a QiCM (Quality Institute of Credit Management) award.

Our service charge team works in tandem with our surveyors and facilities managers to ensure accurate and appropriate service charge budgeting and expense allocation. We also have a specialised service charge team that works with mixed-use properties and is adept at the complex VAT treatment involved.
